WEIL hotel Ipoh has chosen the theme “Dari Dapur Bondaku” (A taste from mother’s kitchen) for this year’s Ramadhan buffet spread at TIFFIN Restaurant. Diners will be able to enjoy not only the traditional flavorsome Ramadhan dishes but also many authentic flavors from the chef’s mother’s kitchen.

TIFFIN is a certified Halal restaurant. Diners will enjoy a gastronomical adventure featuring favorite dishes such as Nasi Permata, Gulai Rebung dengan Perut, Ikan Patin Gulai Tempoyak, Daging Masak Kuzi, Dalcha Kambing, and many more mouth-watering dishes. TIFFIN will also be featuring an action stall corner where diners will be able to pick dishes from the Satay Counter, Noodle Counter, Sup Tulang Counter, Shawarma Counter, Goreng Counter, and a whole lot more

I started at the salads station and they had a variety of salad dressings as well.

What a beautiful-looking plate of pasta salad.

TPC Kuala Lumpur (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club) is strategically located in the lush hilltop setting of Bukit Kiara just 8 KM from the capital city. TPC Kuala Lumpur is a 36-hole tournament-standard course. Its proprietor Sime Darby Property designed the club as an elegant and relaxing golf haven surrounded by perfectly manicured greenery.

This year, TPC Kuala Lumpur aims to raise at least RM10,000 with its Selera Muhibbah al-fresco buffet dinner that takes place around its Olympic-sized swimming pool. For every buffet voucher sold, RM1 will be contributed to underprivileged homes. There are a total of 22 stalls along the poolside plus an entertaining live band to serenade diners.

It’s not hard to find the way to the place but it could get a bit confusing with the roads to get to the exact location of the restaurant. But the most interesting experience would be riding this buggy from where we parked our car to the restaurant instead of walking.

It was my first time so it was really exciting. It’s not something you get to experience on a daily basis unless you’re an avid golfer.

Felt like I was at an amusement park.

Earlier this month, I was invited to preview the Citarasa Tujuh Kampung Ramadhan Buffet 2017 Preview at Concorde Hotel Shah Alam. Apart from the preview, they also had a free Bubur Lambuk giveaway event on the same day. I stayed to see how they prepared the Bubur Lambuk.

Note: This month has got to be the busiest and the most challenging month ever for me. I’ve had so many things happening, going back and forth many times Ipoh-KL-Ipoh in a span of three weeks, dealing with personal issues, emergency cases, and so on. Please bear with me as I try to quickly post all reviews as soon as possible. 🙂

I finished the Ramadhan buffet preview at about 3.30 pm. Then went outside to see Concorde Hotel staff preparing the bubur lambuk.

The Bubur Lambuk giveaway event is their yearly event at Concorde Hotel Shah Alam. Distributing Bubur Lambuk prior to Ramadhan month has been the hotel’s annual event since 2004, making it the 13th consecutive year for this event.

Ramadan is approaching soon. Many hotels and restaurants are already planning and previewing their Ramadan buffet spread. Pacific Regency Hotel Suites Kuala Lumpur invited me to their “Bazaar 33” Nusantara buffet preview.

Pacific Regency Hotel Suites will bring a delight to the whole family this May and June through its sumptuous Nusantara feast specially catered by the hotel’s culinary experts for its “Bazaar 33” buffet promotion.

The hotel is located at Jalan Punchak, the opposite of KL Tower.

If you’re using public transportation, take the monorail and stop at Bukit Nanas station. You have to do about 10-20 minutes of walking. The hotel is about 1km-ish from the station. It’s not that far, but if you’re unfit like me, it’ll be a struggle 😀

It’s also nearby Shangri-La Hotel. I’ve reviewed their international buffet spread at the new Lemon Garden before.

Getting Uber at night for that area is quite a pain. When I was at the Lemon Garden Re-Opening Party at Shangri-La, my Uber driver canceled on me after 20 minutes because he was stuck in a traffic jam.

At Pacific Regency Hotel Suites, my Uber driver canceled on me again after waiting 10 minutes. Luckily, on both occasions, I didn’t miss my 10.45 pm ETS train back to Ipoh. But I nearly had a panic attack both times. Thank goodness for the nearby monorail station.

Salam Ramadhan!

Today is the 5th day since we started fasting early this week. Wow, it has been 5 days already? Boy, time flies! I wanted to post a few reviews before Ramadan but one of my cats has been critical with jaundice and I’ve been busy trying to raise funds to cover his treatment cost.

So, what’s one of the things that we usually look forward to in Ramadhan? Well, of course, it’s the food! From Ramadhan bazaar to Ramadhan buffet, there are surely a lot of choices to pick that can give one a headache. Last week I was invited to preview the buffet selection for Ramadhan which is now available at TIFFIN, WEIL Hotel Ipoh.

WEIL Hotel Ipoh is located in the heart of Ipoh, and it’s even connected to the Ipoh Parade shopping mall. You can check out my previous reviews of WEIL Hotel Ipoh:

This year’s Ramadhan buffet concept is ‘Citarasa Utara‘ where guests are able to enjoy the finest northern cuisine with live cooking stations as well as a variety of International dishes. They aim to spoil the guests with delicious authentic foods from the northern regions of Perlis, Penang, Kedah, and Perak.

This review features only a small portion of what they actually offer.
