Vivo Pizza Ipoh @ AEON Station 18, Ipoh

Vivo Pizza is finally in Ipoh!

Vivo Pizza Ipoh opened over a month ago at AEON Station 18. I wanted to write this sooner but well… it’s kind of painful as that day is a reminder of something I don’t want to be reminded of. It was supposed to be a good day but ended up a very devastating day instead. I almost didn’t want to go but I thought I needed fattening food and my free pizza to ‘drown‘ my sorrow.

I reached about 9 pm-ish, which was already late and it was drizzling that night. Didn’t take long to find the restaurant. It was at restaurant street, the first restaurant you’d see after the food court, next to Wendy’s and the opposite of Orchid Bistro (check out my Orchid Bistro review

I saw my friend’s Facebook status all excited about Vivo Pizza Ipoh about to open soon. Then I found out they were having a giveaway, and the 30 lucky winners will receive a free pizza on their opening day. So I thought I’d just leave a comment. I was genuinely excited as I haven’t had Vivo Pizza in years.

Ahh, meatloaf.

A typical dish in American households, especially during the holiday season but not so much in Malaysia, and it’s non-existent in a Malay household. What is a meatloaf? According to Wikipedia:

Meatloaf is a dish of ground meat formed into a loaf shape, mixed with egg and breadcrumbs, then baked or smoked. The loaf shape is formed by either cooking it in a loaf pan, or forming it by hand on a flat baking pan. Meatloaf is usually made from ground beef, although lamb, pork, veal, venison, and poultry are also used.

So naturally, being a Malay, we don’t eat the traditional meatloaf. I’m only familiar with the processed slices of frozen meatloaf (or so they say) that you can find in the supermarket. A couple of days after Christmas last year (feels weird to write last year since it was just a couple of weeks ago!), I was in AEON Station 18 Ipoh and was surprised to find packs of meatloaf!

Meatloaf – RM13.80

I’m guessing it was because of Christmas that they sold meatloaf, because like I said, it’s also a common holiday food. Normally at the food section there at AEON Station 18, you can find ‘snack’-like food for example sausages, chicken, my favorite okonomiyaki, a wide variety of sushi and other ‘kuih’ but it was the first time that I saw meatloaf, ever.

I LOVE anything with cheese. The only downside is that it’s fattening but nothing that tastes good is gonna be good for your body anyway.

My friend came to visit me a couple of weeks ago and we decided to just waste time at AEON Station 18. We didn’t know what to do because it was still very early in the morning and both of us haven’t had breakfast yet so we decided to find a place to eat while we catch up on stuff. We decided on Sweet Chat Cafe.

The location of the store is at the end, at the corner and quite hidden on the ground floor so if you don’t walk that far, you won’t notice it. It’s overshadowed by bigger restaurants like Nando’s, Pizza Hut, Secret Recipe etc.
