This Ramadhan, Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar is hosting again a feast of local and international cuisine especially for its Ramadhan buffet they named “Sajian Selera Desa Dinner Buffet” at LINK – All Day Dining Restaurant.

This year, Executive Chef Juzaili will be featuring one of his specialties; a whole lamb marinated in a secret blend of spices and roasted to golden perfection. Last year’s crowd favorite, the Oxtail Gear Box Soup will also make a comeback due to popular demand.

Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar is located in the city center of Bangsar and it’s just a few minutes away from Midvalley Mall. The nearest LRT would be the Universiti station that’s within walking distance.

Having said that, I didn’t exactly have the easiest time to navigate around. I actually got lost and was one and a half hours late to the place.  Meant to take the LRT because I was already nearby at Midvalley but since I was offered a ride, I thought why not? A car might be faster and easier, I thought.

Boy, was I so wrong.

Our GPS went a bit crazy not able to detect the roads properly and we ended up missing turns a few times. That resulted in us having to detour a few times during peak hours. Yes, in the crazy traffic jam. When we were finally near the hotel, we missed yet another turn. The GPS said we had to go back to Damansara then go back to Bangsar. It would’ve taken us another 20 mins. Hell no. I didn’t want to miss it.

So, we went suicidal and stopped the car and reversed on a busy freeway to take the turn that we missed. I kept praying no speeding car would crash into us.

DO NOT TRY THAT, EVER. It was crazy.

They had a pretty ice sculpture! I managed to reach in time before the ice sculpture melted. Ha ha.

For decoration, I gotta give an A+ for effort.

The restaurant was already very packed with people and the place is huge.

They had different kinds of dishes there from Malay to Chinese to Indian.

Guests are able to break their fast and enjoy dinner with a variety of delights from fresh cut seafood, assorted gulai kawah, bubur lambok, Monoglian grill, unlimited servings of durian, and many other delicious dishes and desserts while being entertained with a live performance by the Ghazal Band who will be playing nightly during the entire dinner service.

Mixed Vegetables & Mushrooms

One of my favorites from the Indian station was Aloo Gobi or something. Delicious!

They also have noodles station like the Penang Cuisine station pictured above serving curry laksa and prawn mee.

The snacks/cookies in the tin container like the old days!

I have no idea what this is but it was visually enticing.

They had a number of delicious and beautiful-looking pastries and desserts.

Also not forgetting traditional Malay kuih.

Also available were different types of colorful ‘kek lapis’ (layered cake).

The decoration is so pretty. I also couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw the cupcakes. I don’t think I’ve seen cupcakes at any Ramadhan buffet spread yet so I was extremely happy to see it that night. I think you can tell that cupcake is one of my most favorite desserts. Yes, I go crazy for cupcakes.

Different kinds of kuih/cookies available in jars. My favorite was the dodol (durian). I couldn’t stop eating it because it was so good.

A chocolate fountain, yay!

There is nothing better than seeing an endless flowing of smooth, silky, and warm chocolate for you to dip your marshmallows in. I wish they had more fruits for it, though, like strawberries.

Another thing that makes me happy is seeing sushi. They had sushi. Awesome.

The Teh Tarik / Nescafe Tarik live station.

All the different ‘bubur’… they had serawa durian there and I wanted to try it badly. Word of advice, take it as soon as you see it because shortly after I was done taking pictures, it was gone.

This outdoor area with all the live stations. The choices were amazing. They had so many delicious options.

The chef opening and distributing durians at one of the stations at 9 pm.

Despite having just one piece of durian, it was still very satisfying.

They even had the ice cream station with wafer cones already half-coated in chocolate and some other syrup and sprinkles you could choose for your ice cream. I wanted to try this but I actually forgot at the end. Darn.

Some sushi, kuih, cake and of course, the cupcake! The foods were amazing so I was very happy about them. I just wish I wasn’t late so I could enjoy it more.

The Sajian Selera Desa Dinner Buffet at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar starts from 6 pm to 10 pm daily and is priced at RM168 nett per adult and RM84 nett per child aged below 12 years old.

The buffet will begin on 15th May and end on 10th June 2018.
